Wooden greenhouses

Wooden greenhouses are so much more than an ordinary greenhouse

When you enter a wooden greenhouse, it is a wonderful feeling. You can say that about many greenhouses, but a wooden greenhouse is even better. However, this is not the only reason people choose a wooden greenhouse. The look of the greenhouse is a pleasure in itself. So, whether you are in the garden looking at the greenhouse or inside, looking out - the sturdy structure will be a great pleasure. We haven't even mentioned the great functionality of the place – that the greenhouse in Nordic pressure-treated spruce is the perfect place to grow all sorts of plants. The natural materials, in combination with the extra height inside the greenhouse, make it a great pleasure to be inside the elegant wooden greenhouse. Enjoy the abundance of light through the large glass windows and the excellent outlook of the surrounding garden. Maybe you are so lucky to have a view that extends further than just the garden – be sure to place the wooden greenhouse so you get the most out of this. If not, be sure to put the elegant wooden greenhouse somewhere central so you can enjoy the view from the house all year. In the evening and at night, you can stay inside the cosy building and enjoy the night sky well protected against the cool evening air enjoying the remains of the heat from the day. Even if it rains, it is almost magical to be inside a wooden greenhouse listening to the sound of the rain falling on the windows.

A wooden greenhouse is perfect for most plants

A wooden greenhouse has the same features as all other high-quality greenhouses – so you can look forward to an abundance of delicious fruit, greens, and beautiful flowers if you like. In addition to the structure's functionality, you can enjoy the exclusive design daily. Have some comfortable furniture inside the greenhouse to sit and enjoy the garden and more whenever you like. The wooden greenhouse will soon be filled with all kinds of plants providing a fantastic feeling when you are inside the structure. Even though the sun's rays produce growth and heat, too much of a good thing can be harmful. That is why the wooden greenhouse has one or more roof windows for the excess heat to be let out when needed.
Furthermore, you can open the large door on hot days for extra ventilation. We also offer various electric fan heaters made to provide pleasant circulation or heat on a chill evening. In short, having a wooden greenhouse in pressure-treated Nordic spruce gives you a special place to escape the hustle and bustle of the world for a large part of the year.

Always place your wooden greenhouse on a suitable foundation

You must place a greenhouse on a suitable foundation to ensure safety, functionality and durability. Furthermore, a foundation can be part of the design regarding the floor inside the greenhouse – and maybe some exterior patio. A beautiful wooden greenhouse also requires the proper foundation. The doors and windows may not work correctly if a greenhouse doesn't stand on a stable and plane surface. For an elegant wooden greenhouse, having a foundation in flagstones, cobblestones, or wood may be a great idea. That will give you a sturdy and elegant floor inside the greenhouse. We recommend extending the floor outside the greenhouse, so you have a patio in front of the structure. You can even have a deck around the greenhouse if you have room and budget to make it even more inviting. A wooden deck could be an excellent solution if you use the greenhouse as a garden gazebo. However, if you plan to have large containers with soil for plants inside the greenhouse, make sure that the flooring is strong enough to carry the weight, which can be considerable. Do you lay a floor with flagstones and cobblestones? The weight is not an issue. Depending on the soil quality under the greenhouse, you can remove one or more flagstones and plant various plants directly in the soil. Another option is to cast a foundation and make the greenhouse floor frost-free. Then you need to dig down app. 90 cm or more. You can lay tiles and more on the cement floor or keep it raw.
