Storm straps play an important role when it comes to securing your marquee, FleXtents® pop-up gazebo or storage tent. It is important to obtain a certain level of safety when using a marquee and other light temporary structures like pop-up gazebos and various storage tents. Dancover recommend that you always use storm straps and storm pegs to fasten your marquee, gazebo, or storage tent in case of windy weather. Please read our Safety Advice in the shop, where you will see that we recommend, that you never pitch a marquee or pop-up gazebo in bad weather – or if the weather forecast predicts windy weather. Please consider that marquees and FleXtents® pop-up gazebos are light constructions with large surfaces of cover that the wind easily will lift like a sail. That is why an even light wind can create a dangerous situation. Please make sure that you always secure your marquee, gazebo or storage tent with a Safety Pack that contains both storm pegs and storm straps.

Storm straps are perfect for securing your marquee, storage tent, and FleXtents® pop-up gazebo by fastening it to the ground or to stationary objects like trees or buildings. Maybe your storage tent have a ground skirt, where you should put something heavy to keep the tent in place. The best way to secure your marquee and pop-up gazebo is by using the heavy-duty storm straps. Sometimes you cannot use our ground pegs if your marquee, pop-up gazebo or storage tent stand on asphalt or flagstones, but then you can simply use the storm straps and fasten them to stationary objects like a fence or a tree. The storm straps have a built-in ratchet, which makes it easy to tighten the straps – and they have a breaking strength for a 1.000 kg.
