In general, you do not have to acquire a permission to set up a gazebo in your garden. However, if you do not set up the gazebo in your garden or similar private area, you often have to arrange with the proper authorities where and for how long you can put up the gazebo. When using our gazebos for fairs and other professional context, you have to meet some demands concerning safety and more. We offer a range of FleXtents® pop-up gazebos with all the right fire certifications for fairs, markets, and other professional arrangements.
When you want a garden gazebo, you can have it on the patio, next to the patio or somewhere off the beaten track. Our gazebos will look wonderful most places – next to a pool, overlooking a beach and so on. Most of us have a garden where you want a place with pleasant shade and here a gazebo is the perfect choice. Make sure that the gazebo is fastened to the ground in case of windy weather. Even though our permanent garden gazebos are sturdy, wind can cause a lot of damage if you are not prepared. Most of the gazebos have posts with foot plates where you can fasten the gazebo to the ground with various kinds of anchors and similar. If in doubt, ask at your local hard ware store or builder’s market what to use.
You can place the gazebo in the open as it will provide pleasant shade and if you place it near some large trees, you may risk branches falling on the gazebo in windy weather. When having a permanent garden gazebo, we recommend that you plant some flowers and shrubs on one or two sides of the gazebo to make it elegant and integrated. Our elegant garden gazebos will look great in combination with some lush greenery.
Foundation for your gazebo
You can more or less put your gazebo anywhere – directly on the ground, on a wooden deck, and on flagstones. Just make sure that the foundation is stable and plane no matter where you put it so it can be stable and the water can run off evenly. If you have a slanting garden, you can put some firm material under one or more legs of the gazebo to make it stable and in level. Unless you want to make a cast foundation for a patio and more, there is no need to spend time and money on a foundation for your garden gazebo. An argument for no placing the gazebo on the ground is that with a deck you can sit nice and dry even when it rains as opposed to grass and soil that can be wet if the water runs inside the gazebo.
