Flooring inside your garden shed

Most of our wooden sheds come with a floor which you can lay as part of assembling or building the shed yourself. Many of the other garden sheds – like our popular ProShed® garden sheds do not have a floor included as many prefer to place the shed on top of flagstones or similar and use this surface as flooring. However, for some of our metal sheds, we offer floor frames in metal, which makes it easy to lay a floor inside your wooden shed or plastic shed as you prefer. The floor inside your garden shed can be made of wood or you can order a flooring solution from us made of recycled plastic. The flooring in recycled plastic is strong, anti-slip, and will lead water away if you drop some inside. In general, having a floor in your garden shed will make it easier to fully use the space inside the garden shed as you can have boxes and more standing on the floor utilising the space to the fullest.

Please note that you can order various flooring solutions together with your new metal shed in the shop.

Are you going to place the metal garden shed directly on the ground? Then we recommend that you lay a tarpaulin down first as a membrane. Afterwards, you lay the floor using one of our floor frames or constructs one yourself. If you only have a lawn mower and bikes in the garden shed, you may not need flooring but in general a firm floor inside your garden shed will be the best solution.
